HOW TO BUILD THE RESILIENCY NEEDED TO SUCCEED Everyone who starts their own business gets knocked down at some point or another.
What separates those who succeed from the rest is not who can avoid getting knocked down but those who can get back up, learn from the experience and move forward stronger.
Every challenge, every setback, is just another lesson on the path to success. As an entrepreneur, you've got to build that toughness, that grit, that ability to push through when things get tough.
Here are some tips on building this resiliency from five great books on the topic:
"Resilience: Hard-Won Wisdom for Living a Better Life" by Eric Greitens - Engage with mentors: Connect with those who've experienced challenges and learn from their journeys.
- Develop disciplined habits: Resilience is built daily, not in a day. Cultivate habits that strengthen your mind, body, and spirit, such as having a regular sleep schedule, exercising, and journaling.
- Serve a purpose greater than oneself: When you serve a cause bigger than just yourself, it brings clarity and strength during challenging times.
"Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy" by Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant - Lean on your community: Rely on and nurture your relationships. Being there for others and allowing them to be there for you can be healing.
- Avoid negative traps: Challenge personalization, pervasiveness, and permanence by reframing negative thoughts. If you're going through a difficult time or experience, take the time to write down how this can be reframed as a positive or neutral experience.
- Celebrate small wins: Recognize and appreciate minor achievements and steps in the right direction.
"Mindset: The New Psychology of Success" by Carol S. Dweck - Embrace challenges: Instead of avoiding challenges, see them as opportunities to grow.
- Learn from setbacks: Instead of getting discouraged by failures, use them as a learning curve.
- Seek feedback: Use constructive criticism as a tool for improvement.
"Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance" by Angela Duckworth - Practice deliberately: Aim for consistent, focused practice in your area of interest. It's not just about the quantity of practice but the quality. As you've likely heard before, the first time you go on video, record a podcast, or host a webinar, it's not going to be great. Keep doing it until it is.
- Discover and nurture your passion: To become resilient, you have to be passionate about what you're doing. Take the time to remind yourself of all of the reasons you're on this adventure. Write them down and refer back to them often.
- Cultivate a growth mindset: Believe that abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work. The more you practice, the more your skill increases. The more your skill increases, the better you become.
"Rising Strong: How the Ability to Reset Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead" by BrenΓ© Brown - Own your story: Accept and confront the reality of your experiences, especially the painful ones.
- Embrace vulnerability: Recognize that showing vulnerability is a sign of strength, not weakness.
- Cultivate a strong sense of belonging and love: Surround yourself with people who affirm your worthiness.
Whatever your dream or goal, you can achieve it. So long as you keep turning up and following the right guidance. 3 COPYWRITING TIPS TO DOMINATE GOOGLE ADS Google Ads offers you the opportunity to put your products or services front and center in front of potential customers.
However, for all its potential, many business owners find themselves pouring money down the drain, unable to make them work.
While Google Ads present a world of possibility, without the right copy, campaigns can quickly get expensive.
Here are three copywriting tips that can help you dominate your keywords:
Tip #1: Use The Right Keywords In Your Copy Before you start running ads, make sure you know exactly what keywords you want to target.
Use the Google Keyword Planner to find the keywords you want to target.
Once you've found a few main keywords, make sure the keyword is included in your headline, description, and even in the URL if you're able to.
For example, if you're running ads for the keyword 'dog grooming service in Los Angeles', your ad copy might look something like this:
Headline 1: Best Dog Grooming in Los Angeles Headline 2: Affordable LA Dog Groomers Description: 100% organic products, so you know your furry friend is getting nothing but the best. Call us today! Display URL: www.YourSite.com/Dog-Grooming/Los-Angeles
Doing this will increase your relevancy score, which affects your cost-per-click. The more relevant your ads are to the searches being performed, the less you spend per click.
Tip #2: Highlight Your Unique Features & Benefits Having keywords that match what your potential customer is searching for will make a huge difference. However, to stand out even more, make sure to include how you are better than the rest.
In the dog grooming example, you could be the only company that uses 100% organic products. Maybe you have won awards. Maybe . It could even be that you're the only grooming service open on Sundays.
It is whatever unique benefit or advantage you have that sets your company, product, or service apart from other offers, products, or services like the one you're offering.
Tip #3: Align Your Content With The Customer's Search Intent Look at your list of keywords and ask yourself, what is the person looking for?
If someone searches "How does dog grooming work?" there's a good chance they're looking for information on the grooming process.
Showing this person an ad that offers them your service is probably not the right way to go. If, instead, your ad promises to explain the dog grooming process in full detail, and you then offer your services at the end, your results are likely to be much better.
If you're running Google ads, try testing a few following these tips, and you should see far better results. WHAT'S HAPPENING AT CLICKFUNNELS THIS WEEK The Ambassadors are doing a livestream all about MembershipsWednesday (11/1) - 10 AM Mountain Time US

ONE MORE TIP TO DOMINATE GOOGLE ADS
If you want to save yourself time doing the steps above, why not just spy on your competitor's Google and YouTube ads? Very few people know that Google has an ads transparency page... A page that shows every ad your competitor runs on Google and YouTube.
The info you discover could be a total game-changer for you, so here's how to find it:
Step 1: Search for your competitor on Google
Most companies run ads against their name, so they can control what people see when they're searched for. In this example, we'll use Tony Robbins as our competitor: Step 2: Find one of their ads and click on the three dots at the end of the URL Step 3: Click the 'See more ads' link in the popup that appears Step 4: Search through a treasure trove of ad ideas You can filter by the date they have been run, the location they're shown, and the format of the ad (text, image, video): Bonus Step:When we tried doing this using the Chrome browser, it returned blank images for some of the ads.
If you have this same issue, copy and paste the URL into another browser (Safari, Firefox, Edge, etc.), and it should work fine. TIPS FROM A TWO-COMMA CLUB WINNER Stas Prokofiev worked in a car park for 7 years before winning the 2 Comma Club award.
He recently shared his 3 principles to move your consulting/coaching business to £25k /month.
Here they are: "Before I cover this, let me tell you a story which I thought was true… - You DO NOT need to do paid ads - You DO NOT need a program from the get-go - You DO NOT need a VSL - You DO NOT need to build a Facebook Group - You DO NOT need to be tech-savvy - You DO NOT need a website - You DO NOT need anything but an audience:
Formula: Content + Conversations = Clients Principle #1 Going from £0-£25k /month, this is all you need to understand. - Consistent Content, nurture your audience, build trust and show them you understand their pain & have the cure - Traffic, firstly, people have to see your content, see you actually exist, and they are getting value from your content. - Relationships, doing it in a way where you show empathy and ACTUALLY care about them by serving them rather than pitching. If you create a content calendar, get daily traffic and build relationships. It's impossible for you to not hit £25k, £50k even £100+ Principle #2 Create a high-ticket offer and charge a premium (the heart follows the pocket, and people take action when they are invested). Organize your coaching with structure, tools & processes. For example, when we onboard a new client, I add them to ActiveCampaign, and they receive everything within 1 move. - Contract - Support Channel - Access to Members Area - Calendly links to schedule calls This is more scale-able, your clients get the attention they need, and they can get results in a shorter amount of time. No fluff or shiny wrapping paper bs! When you charge a high-ticket price, you don't need 25 clients to hit £25k. You will be exhausted serving them if you do and won't have the capacity to get more. In Summary: - Solve a pain point, charge a premium, systematize the process and get your clients results. FASTER IS ALWAYS BETTER, Principle #3 Consistency is key.
I started my coaching business in March 2019. I have stayed consistent to this day because I love the process, I love helping people, and my business grows along with it.
Remember, the difference maker to seeing exponential results is consistency.
Hope this has been useful!
That's it for today. In Thursday's newsletter, we'll be talking about how to boost linchpin signups, dominate black Friday sales, and much more…
