WHATSAPP OPENS A NEW FEATURE TO DOMINATE
WhatsApp has recently added 'Channels' to over 150 countries.

Channels are basically Facebook / Instagram / Twitter newsfeeds but in WhatsApp. People can follow whatever channels they like and be notified when they add something new.

Given it is brand new, this could be a huge opportunity for those who start building a community there now.

After all, figures from 2021 show:
  • WhatsApp has more than 2 billion users worldwide
  • It is ranked as the most used mobile messenger app in the world
  • There are over 91 million active users in the US and 39 million in the UK.
The fact that it isn't wildly popular in the U.S. makes it an even greater opportunity because you can assume many U.S. based businesses will be slow to join.

Take a look at the official announcement here and decide if it's worth setting up a channel for your business or brand.
THE ART OF SWAG: USING PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS TO CREATE BRAND AMBASSADORS
Promotional products (also known as 'swag') serve as a creative strategy to convert everyday customers into brand ambassadors. And, when done correctly, it works very well:
  • A study by the Advertising Specialty Institute found that 85% of people who receive promotional products remember the advertiser.
  • A study by the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) revealed that 79% of people feel appreciated when receiving swag, creating a stronger emotional connection to the brand.
  • A BPMA (British Promotional Merchandise Association) study revealed that 87% of recipients kept a promotional product for longer than a year, creating numerous opportunities for brand interaction and exposure to friends, family, or colleagues.
Swag is more than promotional material, it's a token that encapsulates the essence of your brand. It is a physical representation of your brand's values and identity.

There are 4 keys to implementing swag:

1. Choose items that resonate with your audience and align with your brand
For example, a tech firm may opt for branded wireless charging pads, whereas a health and wellness brand might lean towards reusable water bottles.

The quality, relevance, and utility of these items are crucial as they act as constant, positive reminders of your brand, enhancing recall and influence.

2. Personalize your products
Beyond choosing the right product, personalization elevates your swag from a mere promotional item to a cherished gift.

Embedding items with messages and designs that speak directly to the recipient fortifies brand loyalty and amplifies word-of-mouth referrals.

3. Consider where and how you distribute them
Strategic distribution of your swag can significantly increase its impact.

Events and moments of achievement are very popular because your swag lands in the right hands at their most receptive time. Then, encouraging the sharing of these items on social media can create a buzz around your brand and foster a sense of community, extending your brand's reach exponentially.

4. Find the right supplier
You can certainly search online to find a suitable supplier but I would say by far the best option is to ask for recommendations.

For example, if you posted in the ClickFunnels Facebook group asking for recommendations on t-shirt suppliers in the U.S. who offer customizations for a reasonable price, you will receive dozens of recommendations and genuine feedback.

Take the time to look around your market and see what other businesses are offering. Could you create branded t-shirts, hats or hoodies? How about sending a trophy or award to customers who reach a certain milestone?

The options are endless. One thing's for sure, if you implement the right swag, your business will never be the same again.

SIMPLE TWEAKS TO INCREASE CONVERSIONS
Whilst scouring the internet looking for tips to share, I came across Harry Dry of marketingexamples.com.

His Twitter account reached 100,000 followers recently, so he wanted to share 4 tips folks found most useful from the last two years.

Here they are:

1. Sell outcomes, not features
2. Don't think about 'capturing emails', think 'creating something worth subscribing to'
3. Simple CTA trick: Add a few words to your button to handle the user's biggest objection to clicking
4. Make your marketing REALER. Same title. Same painting. Same subreddit. One gets 300 votes. The other gets 70,000.
FUNNEL OF THE WEEK
If your opt-in page started converting 85% of cold traffic, what kind of a difference would that make to your business?

The funnel below, built by funnel expert Mike Harris, did just that.

Consider the value the lead magnet has to the target audience. It instantly solves a problem. They don't have to read anything, wait any length of time, or spend any money.

A spreadsheet might have no value to you and your market. However, look back at newsletter 12 and the lead magnet examples. Is there a type of lead magnet that would?

The afternoon sessions are getting into full flow here at FHL so we're going to have to love you and leave you.
