Gordon, how do you handle defeat?

Hi Gordon,

“When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal.”
-Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich

Think and Grow Rich is required reading for any would-be entrepreneur. The advice contained in this timeless work is a relevant now as it was when it was first published in 1937.

And this is one of my favorite quotes.

Life will always give you the feedback you require to be successful.

The question is whether you will listen to that feedback and correct your course.

But so many entrepreneurs experience defeat…but fail to listen to the feedback that defeat provides to them.

Instead, they do one of two things…

1. They say, “That didn’t work so I’m going to quit. I’m never going to try again.”
2. They say, “That didn’t work so I’m go to try this other thing now.”

But the “other thing” is usually the same kind of thing as the first thing that did not work.

So they fail again.

They should have listened to the feedback the defeat provided and asked, “What did this failure tell me? How can I correct my course and set sail once more toward my coveted goal?”

Usually the feedback they need to hear is, “These get-rich-quick-schemes don’t work.”

And the course correction they need to make is to find a real business.

A business with a proven step-by-step process for making $1000, $3000 and $5000 commissions without ever having to pick up the phone.

A system that has generated commissions in excess of $20,000,000 in just a few short years.

A system that’s guaranteed to pay a commission in 30 days or TEN TIMES YOUR MONEY BACK.

A real business.

Listen to the feedback and correct your course accordingly.
